Understanding Your Results
This is the weight that you put on your pre-scan questionnaire.
Total Mass = Scan Weight
The scanner is not a scale, but it essentially prints your body 0n a pixel-by-pixel snapshot. Your scan weight is the total of your: lean, fat & bone mass.
Body Fat %
Your Body Fat % is simply a ratio of fat mass vs. lean mass. The important thing to remember is everyone wears it differently.
Lean Mass = Muscle Mass
Your lean mass is your muscle mass, which also includes your organs.
Bone Mineral Content (BMC)
This is your skeletal mass, which is typically 3 – 5 % of your total mass.
Body Fat % Reference Chart
Fitness level & physique are a common concern when it comes to Body Fat %. Additionally, body composition, in particular body fat % & body fat distribution can be indicative of particular health risks such as diabetes, hypertension & several other cardiometabolic health concerns.
Body Fat Distribution
Your body fat distribution report depicts your numbers & guidelines for what is considered “ideal or optimal body fat distribution.”
Android / Gynoid
The Android / Gynoid (A/G) ratio is the ratio between the %Fat of the Android (central) & %Fat of the Gynoid (hip & thigh) regions. Android fat is associated with unhealthy or visceral fat.
